Rain Dancer

He loves to dance as the rain pours down
Laughing and spinning all over town
With arms wide open, he pulls me along
Our dance can begin to any old song

He grabs my hand, pulls me outside
Under the clouds, no place to hide
Puddles splash, and I have to laugh
As my hair’s a mess, at my other half

My rain dancer, inspires me
On the wet streets, spinning free
Every time the raindrops fall
I end up soaked, having a ball

We waltz along, water at our feet
He's grinning wide, knows no defeat
I love his smile, each carefree day
Though my clothes get drenched along the way

Neighbors stare, but we don't care
We’re dancing in our own world there
Shoes fill with water, but it’s fine
As long as I know he is mine
