Wishing I could go back in time
Rocking outfits so sublime
Them gals knew just what to wear
Modern clothes do not compare

Two hundred years ago
Oh what a dream
In those fancy clothes
I'd be the queen

Steampunk corsets decked with lace
See the pleasure on my face
Victorian gowns are so fine
An elegant grace that must be mine

Bustles and bonnets as haute couture
I wish I could have worn them for sure
No skinny jeans and hoodies foul
I'd rather wear a skimpy towel

Flowing silk dresses and bonnets too
Colors so bright the children coo
In the days of old they got it right
Looking good and balls each night

Wishing I could go back to when
Girls were girls and men were men
Then the gals knew what to wear
Modern clothes do not compare
