I'm a girl in the city, I wander in the zoo
Every day I'm dreaming, wondering what they do
Tigers in the jungle, dancing to a tune
Feeling all the power, underneath the moon

Leopards in the trees, climbing gracefully
Roaming free in the wild, where they are meant to be
I'm just a girl in a cage, feeling so confined
Imagining a life where I could leave it all behind

Monkeys swinging in the trees, having so much fun
Playing with their friends, under the bright sun
I'm just a girl in an office, dreams in my soul
Thinking 'bout a life where I could best be whole

If I could trade places, with the creatures that I see
I could break free from the chains, and embrace being me
In the heart of the wild, I'd find where I belong
Living life untamed, with a spirit strong

Elephants on the savannah, moving with some grace
Living life unchained, in a wide and open space
I'm just a girl in the city, longing to roam
Wishing for a life, some place to find my home
